I'm way behind, I saw the first few eps of Heroes season II, but then the airing changed and it was always on when I weren't at home, so I missed most of it!
*sniff*
Hey! =) I'm doing well, though very busy, drawing and music, too much to do! And yourself?
And my pleasure, I really loved all the things you make, I think I can learn a great deal from you, maybe I'll someday come over and steal all your equipment and programs, bwhahaha! >xD
Ha haa, no prob. If you get any of the stuff, I'll gladly help you out with it. Just back from getting a new hairstyle. I could scare ghosts with this :)
Haha, thank you for the offer, but I think I first have to get some money, I'm getting broke enough of mini-cd recording. Before that I bought a new piano...And I also have to buy a Mac computer as this one just can't cope with all these programs, LOL.
So I don't think I can afford good recording programs, I'll have to hang on to my idiot magix-studio for a little longer, hehehe.
Anyway, do you record everything through your piano? I mean, even for the other sounds?
P.S. Do you have by any chance any idea why if I record the sound goes through my speakers? It never did that before, and the piano/panel/program settings should be the same as I don't change them...Ah well *shrugs* If I turn the speaker off it's no prob, but when I turn it on O_O *scary*
I use a multitude of different things. I've got a couple of keyboard stacks which I hook together into a main mixer, then link that into the PC's Soundcard (it's an external device). The main sounds I record from an actual keyboard is misc sounds, like ethnic, synth, pad etc. One of the keyboards I have is a "Midi controller board" which controls the sound libraries I store on the PC (Like the choirs, orchestral instruments). It's a professional set up, very powerful but also VERY delicate.
Hmm... If you are hearing it through the speakers whilst you record then the speakers would be acting as monitors. Not too sure on that one. Whats the model of piano?
hm, what a set up, but luckily I understood, hehe, yes yes, definetely no money for such a thing.
But I'm young, I still have time, haha!
The speakers indeed acts as some kind of monitors, the thing is, that also the quality is reduced a lot when I record.
Turning of the speakers works, but it's just an annoying thing if you work that for the least you turn them on and off.
Plus if I want to record the voice over the piano I need to have them on, and they seriously mess up the singing through their sound. I even had once that annoying microphone pitch sound, once, hehe.
Anyway, my piano is a Yamaha P140. Everything was fine with it in the beginning, even had new cables and everything.
I guess it's all jinxed, hehe. Electronic things tend to go odd when I'm around
K2 presents an art-contest for...posted May 20th 2009, 2:01PM
Mood:
people with a disability or illness...
All details can be found here!!!!
Please have a look and join, or support us!
------
Join K2’s first artistic contest!
While we are building out the joys of K2 further, it is time to get started on things as these as well!
So how about we all sit and get them talented hands to work!
Join our first contest, which will be focusing on the joy of drawing / painting!
So let us get some simple set of rules going.
1 - K2 focuses on people with an illness or disability, with artistic talents, so…of course, if you want to join, I am afraid that I have to decline the ‘healthy’ ones.
2 – Any medium in your drawing / paintings is allowed, be it traditional, or things done in photoshop, and of such the like… (though rather no 3D arts like Daz, etc, just to keep things fair of course!)
3 – Subject – Portray how you witness life, while being in the situation your in…How you experience things, just portray ‘you’, in a way.
4 – Give us a little explanation with your work of art, of what you are going through, and what the meaning is behind the picture!
5 – mail your work to wingy@merehinya.com AND info@chalkline.eu by the --10th of July--. Then the --15th of July-- we’ll announce the winner and show all of the artworks that have been sent, on an online gallery, with of course all copyrights remaining to their rightful owners. If you have a website or want your contacts mentioned, be sure to mention it in the mail if you sent your work!
6 – We can’t grand our winner much, but hopefully that one will be pleased with a piece of artwork (once I found a proper artist, it will be mentioned here!), which shall be sent by postage to you!
7 – Gather all up in the meantime and discuss everything here --> http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?topic=7905&uid=85468058543#/group.php?gid=85468058543&ref=mf
